Head of Financial Audit Authority sworn in before Mohammed bin Rashid

In front of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the newly appointed Director General of the Financial Audit Authority in Dubai, Abdulrahman Hareb Rashed Al Hareb, has taken the oath of office in a ceremony that took place today in Emirates Towers.

Al Hareb was appointed earlier this month as head of the Financial Audit Authority in Dubai.

Al Hareb has over 24 years of experience in audit, risk management and banking. Prior to his appointment as Director General of the Financial Audit Authority, he held the position of Chief of Audit at Dubai Holding. In this role, he supervised the annual audit of Dubai Holding as well as its overall risk assessment, internal control structure and corporate governance evaluation.

He has held various senior management positions at Awqaf and Minors Affairs Foundation, Emaar Properties, Shuaa Capital, Emirates NBD and Dubai Islamic Bank, among others.

Al Hareb holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Accounting from Seattle University, United States. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA).
