FAA Academy Launches the Second Round of Roundtable Discussion Sessions with the Participation of Subject Entities A Strategic Step to Advance Institutional Alignment and Open Channels for Constructive Dialogue

Dubai, 08 July 2025 – As part of the Financial Audit Authority’s ongoing commitment to encouraging dialogue and fostering institutional alignment with subject entities, FAA Academy has announced the launch of the second round of its Roundtable Discussion Sessions for 2025, with the participation of a group of concerned subject entities.
This strategic initiative reflects the Authority’s forward-looking approach aimed at supporting subject entities in developing their institutional performance and enhancing their readiness for the upcoming phase’s requirements, thereby contributing to enhanced readiness for future challenges.
The 2025 sessions build on the success of the first round held in 2023, which laid the groundwork for a collaborative model in institutional dialogue and audit collaboration. These sessions continue to serve as a dedicated forum for open discussion, where subject entities share perspectives, coordinate efforts, and explore collective solutions to shared challenges in an effective and sustainable manner.
The sessions address a range of cross-sectoral topics relevant to a group of subject entities. Key focus areas include challenges in implementation of corporate governance manual for subject entities in Dubai, investment process best practices, digital transformation (drivers, challenges, controls), leasing activities, risks associated with the construction projects claims and project procurement process, reporting and escalation mechanisms (ensuring transparency and accountability & conducting effective fraud investigations), internal controls over revenue collection, addressing recurring issues pertaining to human resources, challenges in implementation of certain rules and legislations.
Through these discussions, entities are encouraged to engage in meaningful institutional dialogue that enables experience-sharing and helps explore practical responses to common concerns, enhances performance effectiveness, and contributes to a culture of transparency and accountability across the wider public sector.
Commenting on the initiative, Mr Faisal Abdulrahim Kazim, Director of the Consultancy & Business Excellence Department at the Financial Audit Authority in Dubai, affirmed that the roundtable sessions represent a meaningful shift in the Authority’s audit approach, embracing a consultative model that has been welcomed and appreciated by the participating entities. These sessions have proven to be a strategic tool for knowledge exchange and the development of practical solutions to shared challenges.
He added: “At the Financial Audit Authority, we place importance on sustaining and further developing these roundtable sessions as an impactful platform that contributes to tangible outcomes and foster a culture of dialogue and institutional coordination among subject entities. We aim to reinforce a professional environment rooted in transparency, accountability, and constructive engagement. Through these upcoming sessions, we reaffirm our ongoing commitment to institutional development and the continuous advancement of government performance in line with current needs and future aspirations.”
The roundtable platform has become a cornerstone of the Authority’s institutional engagement strategy, reflecting its commitment to align with evolving government expectations. It also contributes to establishing a dialogue-driven model of institutional collaboration, promoting responsible strategic decision-making, and enhancing institutional preparedness to enable agile, effective responses to emerging challenges.
